All electronics should be Recycled with Responsibility
If you have old electronics please dispose of correctly as some electronic devices contain Lead, and other dangerous metals!
(Another way Cyber Criminals can access your Personal Data if you don't disposed correctly)
There are various places in and around Connecticut that will accept old electronics, Computers, Printer, Servers, Routers and UPS's.
Search for local Vendors or Recycle Collection Centers can be found online and or contact your local Town Hall or local Government for more information.
Computers & Network Devices:
A. Some guide lines for disposal of old Computers!
1. Wipe any and all Hard Drives of all Personal Data. (Another way Cyber Criminals can access your Personal Data if you don't)
2. Remove any Hard Drive (s) from your Computer / Laptop. (Another way Cyber Criminals can access your Personal Data if you don't disposed correctly)
And or:
3. Drill 3 holes in the drive to prevent anyone from recovering any personal data on the Hard Drive. (Final way to ensure the Personal Data is destroyed on the hardware)
4. Dispose of the Old Hard Drives along with your Electronics Devices at the Recycle Centers.
Cell Phones, iPad & Tablets:

Make sure you Factory Reset/Wipe your Devices if they still work before discarding to the local Recycle Center.
If they cannot be powered on or just none functional, then just break them apart or just smash them before discarding to the local Recycle Center.
Batteries:

Remove any Batteries from the UPS and they are likely to contain LEAD, DO NOT BREAK THE BATTERY CASING! As LEAD or ACID could leak out.
Take these to the approved Recycle Centers for Battery Recycling!
